The difficult financial situation of Paris-Roubaix Juniors did not go unnoticed. As several of its members raised about this issue, the Board of the MPCC unanimously decided to provide an occasional financial assistance to the organizers of the race.
During the Board Meeting of the MPCC on last June 2nd, the members of the Board highlighted the difficult financial position of Paris-Roubaix Juniors. Keeping this U19 race on the 2021 calendar is an important cause that led the Board to unanimously approve the decision to provide financial support to help save this year’s edition, which was supposed to take place on last April 11th.
AC2000, L’Amicale des Anciens, Cofidis and UNCP also took part in this collective effort that proves how much the members of the cycling family care about this competition.
MPCC wants to remind everyone that supporting Young Riders races and increasing awareness about ethics among riders of all ages is crucial. Some U19 and U23 teams already are members of the MPCC: Bingoal Casino WB Development Team, La Conti Groupama-FDJ, Team Development DSM, SEG Racing Academy, all registered at the UCI, as well as AG2R Citroën U19 Team, Fun Esteban Chaves, Team Inca. Numerous other teams also include several riders competing in races of these age categories.
